Chairman & CEO, SK Group

CHEY Tae-won is Chairman of the Chey Institute for Advanced Studies and Chairman & CEO of SK Group, a global conglomerate comprising nearly 150 affiliates across the energy, ICT, semiconductor, and bio industries. He also serves as Chairman of the Korea Foundation for Advanced Studies (KFAS) and the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI), the nation’s largest business organization, representing over 190,000 member companies. Under his leadership, the KCCI plays a pivotal role in trade promotion, economic diplomacy, and fostering international cooperation. In addition, he serves as Chairman of the 2025 APEC CEO Summit, which will be held in Korea. He holds a bachelor's degree in physics from Korea University and conducted postgraduate studies in economics at the University of Chicago.
