Jiao Yang

Jiao Yang started her chancellorship at Fudan University in September 2016. As an established professional and executive editor in media and journalism, she has committed herself to the modernization and globalization of China’s public media governance. She was the secretary of the Youth League Committee of Fudan University, the vice director of the News Office of the Municipal Government of Shanghai, the head of the Bureau of Press and Publication and the Copyright Administration of Shanghai, the vice director of the Publicity Department of the Communist Party of Shanghai, the director of the Committee of Spiritual Civilization Construction of Shanghai, the chairperson of the Women’s Federation of Shanghai, the vice chairperson and secretary of the All-China Women’s Federation. She was also the 10th and 11th member of the Municipal Committee of Shanghai, the 11th member of CPPCC (Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference), the 14th and 15th the representative of the Shanghai Municipal People's Congress.

Jiao Yang received her Bachelor’s degree in Journalism from Fudan University and her Master’s degree in Business Administration from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore.
