Wei Xiaopeng

Professor Wei began his academic career at Dalian University of Technology as a lecturer and was later promoted to the rank of associate professor and full professor. At Dalian University of Technology, he was appointed Director of Center for Engineering Draft, Deputy Director of IBM Computing Technology Center, Director of CAD Center, and Director of Office of Scientific Research. Professor Wei then served at Dalian University as Vice President and President successively. He thereafter worked for the government as Director of Dalian Municipal Publicity Office, Member of the Municipal Standing Committee of Dalian, Director and Party Secretary of the Education Committee of Liaoning Province, Party Municipal Committee Secretary of Yingkou, and Party Committee Secretary of Dalian University of Technology.Since March 2016, Professor Wei was appointed Chairman of Fudan University Council.

Professor Wei’s research interests lie in intelligent CAD, computeraided design and computer graphics, and intelligent computing. He was honored with various academic awards of national and provincial levels.
