Vice Presiden of the New Development Bank

Well-known Brazilian economist, Paulo Nogueira Batista Jr. was the Executive Director representing Brazil and ten other countries at the International Monetary Fund (IMF) from April 2007 to June 2015. Since July 2015, he is Vice President for the New Development Bank,headquartered in Shanghai. Prior to joining the IMF, he served in Brazil as Secretary for Economic Affairs in the Ministry of Planning, as Advisor to the Minister for Finance on External Debt, and as Head of the Center for Monetary and International Economics Studies, Getúlio Vargas Foundation in Rio de Janeiro, among other positions.
