Pauline van der Meer Mohr

President, Erasmus University Rotterdam

Pauline van der Meer Mohr is currently the president of the Erasmus University Rotterdam, which was ranked top 3 in Netherlands according to the 2013 QS World University Rankings. At the same university, Mrs. Van der Meer Mohr started her career with the study of law. She received her Master Degree Dutch Law at the Erasmus University in Rotterdam in 1984 and went on to do research at the European University Institute in Florence. In 2009, after already having quite some professional experience, she completed another Master in Advanced Dispute Resolution at the University of Amsterdam and graduated cum laude.

Succeeding her studies of Law, she started her professional career as an attorney-at-law in Brauw, Blackstone, Westbroek while in the meantime passing the Dutch Bar exams. Soon after that in 1989 she started to work at Royal Dutch Shell where she occupied various senior executive positions until she left in 2004 to work at TNT as human resources director. Following that Van der Meer Mohr became Senior Executive Vice President of Human Resources at ABN AMRO in 2006. In 2008 she founded Amstelbridge Human Capital Strategies and worked there as managing partner until becoming the President of the Erasmus University Rotterdam in 2010.

Mrs. Van der Meer Mohr has also taken on various non-executive roles in her career. In the past she has been member of the Economic Development Board North-Netherlands and member of the boards of Trustees of Albert Schweitzer Hospital, Amsterdam University Medical Centre AMC and Netherlands School for Public Policy (NSOB) to name but a few. Currently she holds positions as a member of the Supervisory Boards of ASML NV, DSM and is Chair of the Supervisory Board of Rotterdam School of Management BV. She serves on several other supervisory and advisory boards, including the Economic Development Board of Rotterdam and she was recently elected chair of the executive board of the Fulbright Center Netherlands. On top of that she is also advisor to the Dutch Minister of Foreign Affairs since 2009 concerning the Dutch Visitors Programme.
