Zhang Yunling

Born in May 1945, Zhang Yunling, is Member of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Distinguished First-Tier Professor and Director of Institute of International Studies, School of Northeast Asian Studies, Shandong University. Zhang served as the Former Director of the Asia-pacific Institute of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences as well as the Director of the Department of International Studies. He also held the position of Member of the 10th, 11th and 12th CPPCC National Committee. Being a notable expert on international issues at home and abroad, Zhang has represented China in the APEC Expert Group, the East Asia Vision Group, the Expert group of East Asia Free Trade Area Feasibility Study, China-ROK Joint Expert Committee, the Economic Research Institute for ASEAN and East Asia and etc.

Professor Zhang Yunling has published abundant books and journal articles, mainly including Interdependence of World Economic Development, East Asian Regionalism and China (English Version), Building a Harmonious World: Theory and Practice, and Dramatic Change in Europe and World Order.
